Jade Karts was established by veteran karting champion Mark Allen, has grown from a personal passion into a prominent force in British karting. With over five decades of experience, Allen has been instrumental in shaping the UK's karting landscape, both as a multi-time British champion and as a long-standing committee member of the Shenington Kart Club.

Operating from Edgehill near Banbury, Jade Karts encompasses manufacturing, engine development, and a competitive racing team . Their partnership with Birel ART, a renowned Italian kart manufacturer formed from the 2014 merger of Birel and ART Grand Prix, has been pivotal. Birel ART is celebrated for its high-performance chassis and collaborations with F1 talents like Daniel Ricciardo and Charles Leclerc .

Since 2023, Jade Karts has been mentoring Alessandro Sarlas. Under their guidance, Alessandro achieved significant milestones, including a victory at the 2024 Kartmasters British Kart Grand Prix at PF International Circuit . This success underscores Jade Karts' commitment to nurturing talent and excellence in motorsport.

About Alessandro

Alessandro Sarlas is an 11-year-old karting talent quickly making a name for himself on both the national and international stage. Now competing in IAME X30 Mini and GR3 categories, Alessandro continues to impress with his speed, racecraft, and composure behind the wheel.

Having raced on more than ten different circuits, he built strong momentum in 2023 by competing in three club championships—Shenington, Kimbolton, and Whilton Mill—finishing vice champion at both Shenington and Whilton Mill. In 2024, he stepped up another level, becoming club champion at Whilton Mill and repeating his vice champion finish at Shenington.

His 2024 season also saw major highlights including winning the prestigious WM Plate, taking pole at the PFi Festive Cup, and capturing a standout victory at the British Grand Prix Kartmasters.

Now in 2025, Alessandro is racing internationally and continuing to establish himself as one of the most exciting young drivers to watch in karting.
