Xcel Motorsport, headquartered in the UAE, has grown into one of the region’s most respected driver development programmes, with a dedicated kart team now positioned in the UK to compete across Britain and Europe. Known for producing champions, Xcel blends world-class coaching with a clear pathway from karting to single-seater racing.

With advanced facilities and expert engineers, the team focuses on performance, technical development, and building the mental resilience needed to succeed in elite motorsport. Their strong European presence allows drivers to access top-tier events while maintaining the quality and structure that defines Xcel.

In July 2025, Alessandro Sarlas joined Xcel Motorsport. He will now focus on competing in the British karting championships, selected European series, and the UAE championship, supported by Xcel’s expert coaching and international race infrastructure.

About Alessandro

Alessandro Sarlas is an 11-year-old karting talent quickly making a name for himself on both the national and international stage. Now competing in IAME X30 Mini and GR3 categories, Alessandro continues to impress with his speed, racecraft, and composure behind the wheel.

Having raced on more than ten different circuits, he built strong momentum in 2023 by competing in three club championships—Shenington, Kimbolton, and Whilton Mill—finishing vice champion at both Shenington and Whilton Mill. In 2024, he stepped up another level, becoming club champion at Whilton Mill and repeating his vice champion finish at Shenington.

His 2024 season also saw major highlights including winning the prestigious WM Plate, taking pole at the PFi Festive Cup, and capturing a standout victory at the British Grand Prix Kartmasters.

Now in 2025, Alessandro is racing internationally and continuing to establish himself as one of the most exciting young drivers to watch in karting.
